    Energy Transition Summit

    19-20 October 2026
Balancing new priorities and new technologies

The global energy transition has reached a strategic crossroads. While record investments continue to accelerate renewable deployment, the pathway to net-zero is becoming more fragmented, more contested, and more complex to navigate. Rising geopolitical instability is redrawing global energy flows, while inflation, industrial competition, and tariff regimes are forcing hard trade-offs between energy security, affordability, and sustainability.

At the same time, electrification is surging - driven by digitalisation, AI, and energy-hungry infrastructure - placing new strain on outdated grids and permitting systems. From critical minerals to clean tech manufacturing, the energy transition is now deeply intertwined with questions of supply chain resilience, industrial strategy, and access to capital. And all of this is unfolding against the backdrop of intensifying climate shocks and growing demands for speed, reliability and efficiency.

Now in its 11th year, the FT Energy Transition Summit will bring together global leaders from energy, finance, industry and government to confront these intersecting challenges head-on. Across two days of high-level discussions, moderated by senior Financial Times journalists, the summit will provide vital insight into the future of energy systems - and the capital, policy, and technology required to transform them.
